As one of perpetual low bp (around 100/60) and on the verge of the big 4-0, I get very frustrated at the low-salt zealots that glare at me for putting a pinch of salt on my veggies.

I became aware of the fact that I needed a minimum of 1500-2000 mg sodium daily to be able to function, otherwise I was totally dragging.

That being said, I get my salt from what *I* add to my food, not from additives, which seems to make all the difference in the world...Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03747206018423099566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1763665090470846849.post-63166579833345256242009-03-30T12:22:00.000-07:002009-03-30T12:22:00.000-07:00Rayna--fair point :) I'll try not to buy any block...Rayna--fair point :) I'll try not to buy any blocks of salt lick any time soon ;)Cave Cookinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09908010407837751832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1763665090470846849.post-59763009193296815652009-03-27T11:42:00.000-07:002009-03-27T11:42:00.000-07:00Not to rain on your parade. This seemed odd to me so I asked my doctor about it and they said this is actually quite common.

I haven't done my research on how common it is and I also LOVE salt... but it's something to keep in mind.Raynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16812890917821628651noreply@blogger.com
